Final 2 Star Wars Buildable Figures Shown at Star Wars Celebration 2015

The final 2 Star Wars buildable figures were revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2015 in California this weekend. The final 2 additions make 6 Star Wars buildable figures in total to be released in September of 2015. Besides Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, General Grievous, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, we now have Jango Fett and Commander Cody. These will make a great addition to the ever-expanding Lego Star Wars universe. Rumor has it that the buildable figure sets will be around $19.99 each, but there’s no official price at this time. We do have piece counts as you can see below.

The first 2 are Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader who’s pictures were available a while ago. The 2 we haven’t seen yet are rumored to be Jango Fett and Clone Commander Cody. Images of those 2 should be available soon!

Thanks for reading. Let me know what you think of the buildable figures below in the comments!

Lego Star Wars Summer 2015 Reveals

A lot is in store for the Lego Star Wars line later this year. Many new sets have been revealed. Nothing from Episode 7 yet, but hopefully we will get some of those soon. New York Toy Fair is exciting Lego fans everywhere, and giving us some brand new Lego eye candy.

75110 – Luke Skywalker and 75111 – Darth Vader

Lego SW Buildable Figures

I’ve never been into the buildable figures, but I will admit, these are pretty cool looking. Lego has done similar figure sets with Chima, Superheroes, and other lines.

75106 – Imperial Assault Carrier

Lego SW Imperial Assult Carrier

This set, from the Star Wars Rebels animated TV series, is not at all what I expected. I’m not currently watching the show, but I do think this will be a great set. It is looking like it will be the biggest Rebels set to date.

75091 – Flash Speeder

Lego SW Flash Speeder

These minifigures are great. It’s not very often that we get 5 minifigures in a 300 piece-range set. Lego has been returning to Naboo the past few years with lots of sets based on the famous “New Trilogy” battle. It looks like the Naboo Security Guard minifigure is the same one from the 75058 – MTT set from 2014. This is the second version of the Flash Speeder that Lego has released. The first version was 15 years ago in 2000.

75092 – Naboo Starfighter

Lego SW Naboo Starfighter

With 8 versions of this set you’d think I’d have managed to get me one. But this one will be mine! 🙂 Lego has released 5 normal version, 1 USC version, and 2 mini versions of this set. But of those, I think this is my favorite. I’m loving the new Naboo Pilot figure.

75093 – Death Star Final Duel

Lego SW Death Star Final Duel

It’s official, we’re getting a new Vader. It appears that his helmet is removable. If you remember from Episode 6, Luke removes his father’s helmet because Vader wants to gaze upon his son with his own eyes. Such an emotional scene, and now we can recreate it with this awesome set. The Imperial Gaurds are the same as we got in the battle pack in 2014. It also looks like the Emperor Palpatine figure is the same, or very similar to the version we got in the “Dark Side” book in 2014.

75094 – Imperial Shuttle Tydirium

Lego SW Imperial Shuttle Tydirium

Now for my personal favorite. I was speechless when I saw this set. Endor is my personal favorite part of all the Star wars movies. Lego released an USC of the Tydirium Shuttle in 2010, but other than that, there has never really been an Endor-based version of this set. Besides the awesome ship, those minfigures are the best new ones of this wave in my opinion. We will be getting a new version of Endor Rebel Troopers. Along with a new Han Solo that looks great, it looks like his somewhat “casual” clothes. The Chewbacca is the same as the one we saw in 2014. Finally, the new Princess Leia is spot on. There appears to be a new cape-like piece that is acting as the shawl-type shirt she wears in the movie. When I was re-watching Episode 6 earlier this month, i remember thinking to myself “whoa, they need to make a new version of Leia that has her shawl-type thing in it.” 🙂
