There’s all 16. I am loving these, I own all of the first series that was released in May 2014. Does this mean we may get a series of Simpson figs each year in May? It’s unknown at the moment, but it’s definitely a possibility. I am personally looking forward to Moleman, as he is one of my favorite characters from the show. He is always the least lucky guy, and his numerous scenes where he catches on fair, or accidentally drives off a cliff are very entertaining. The only thing I don’t like about these is Maggie. She is nearly identical to the one in the previous series, and also nearly identical to the version included in the Simpsons House set. I think a new color of clothes or some sort of change would have been nice. Other than that I am loving this series.

Which of these 16 figs are you looking forward too the most? Will you be re-buying Maggie to get Santa’s Little Helper? Sound off below!

Will Lego Minifigures Series 14 be all Halloween figs?

New images are flooding the internet today of what is said to be Collectible Minifigures Series 14. It’s been rumored for awhile now that Lego would be doing a series consisting solely of “monsters”. Whether the figs in the picture are from series 14 or not, they are still way cool and appear to be Official Lego. If these are Series 14 though, could this mean that the new Simpsons series could be put on hold? I hope not.

Lego Minifigures Series 14?

These are all very…. unique minifigures. Especially that one on the right of the flower guy. Some of these are very cool though, a new Frankenstein and a new cheerleader would be great. That witch is also very Halloween’ish, and not one of the dark “scary” type witches we’ve gotten in the past.

As for the question of whether or not this is Series 14, I have no idea. I could see it happening, but part of me is thinking that Lego usually wants more variety in a series. I guess time will tell. If these are released, I can accurately assume it will be in the August wave, right in time for Halloween.

Lego The Simpsons Minifigures Series 2?

Lego The Simpsons Minifigure packet series was released on May 1st, 2014 with 16 minifigures, including the entire Simpsons family, Ned, Apu, Itchy/Scratchy, and many more. The series debuted the first appearance of the short sleeve shirt printing on minifigure arms, along with the baby body piece that is used for Maggie. But considering the great success of that series, will Lego be making a second series of Simpsons minifigures? I believe so, some images of head molds have surfaced for some new additions to the Lego Simpsons Universe. Here are some of those images.

From these, we can say that the new series will include Willie, Dr. Hibbert, Santa’s Little Helper aka. the dog, Smithers, Professor Frink, Snake, Comic Book Guy?, and Patty. Since Patty is here, we can safely assume we will be seeing Selma too.

Now for the big question to which no one has the answer. Will we be seeing the whole Simpsons family once again? All of them were included in the first series, and all in The Simpsons House set. I personally don’t think it’s necessary to see them again, I would much rather see new figs. There is such a huge universe built around the Simpsons with a giant character base. My speculation is that we will be seeing at least Bart or Homer again. If Santa’s Little Helper will in fact be in the series, he will have to be included with someone else, and Homer or Bart are the most likely candidates.¬†Since I haven’t seen a Series 14 minifigure list, I expect to see this series released next after Series 13 in January 2015.

Hopefully more info will surface soon. Including some info on a supposed Kwik-E-Mart set that is being rumored.

What will Lego be releasing in January 2015?

January is usually a really big month for new Lego. Here is a compilation of what we know we will be seeing when the new year rolls around.

Lego Star Wars – UCS (Ultimate Collectors Series) Slave I –

Lego UCS Slave 1

This set has been a long time coming for Star Wars fans. All 1196 pieces will be available for $199.99 on the first of the year.

Lego Disney Princess (Frozen) – Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle –

Lego Frozen

I have a feeling that this one is going to be insanely popular, considering the movie was outrageously popular.  The set includes 292 pieces and is priced at $39.99. All the main characters from the movie are included, Elsa, Anna, and Olaf.

Lego Ideas – Birds –

Lego Ideas Bird

This is the upcoming set from the Lego Ideas line, which if you don’t know is the site where users can upload set ideas, and then have other users¬†“support” them. Once an idea reaches 10,000 supporters it’s reviewed by Lego, and possibly made into an official set. This set includes 3 bird builds and their stands. A bluejay, a hummingbird, and a robin can be built out of 580 included pieces¬†in this set. A meager price tag of $44.99 can be found on this box.

Lego Bionicle – 13 Brand New Sets

Lego Bionicle Reboot

Lego Bionicle is getting a re-boot in 2015. 13 new sets are planned for January. The set pictured is called Protector of Jungle and will be available for $9.99

The Lego Movie – Double-Decker Couch + 2 Other Sets –

Lego Movie Jan 2015

The Lego Movie will be getting 3 new boxes on New Years Day. This set is the one I am excited about, it’s called Double-Decker Couch, and will have 197 pieces for just $19.99. I don’t really buy the Lego Movie sets but this one I plan on picking up. It has most of the main characters, and a couple of cool builds that are in the movie. It’s also fairly cheap considering it has 4 minifigures, 1 figure, and a couple of builds. Another¬†set is Batman & Super Angry Kitty Attack, which will include 115 pieces for $9.99. That set will include a brand new version of Batman, which will excite superhero fans. Finally, Bad Cop Car Chase, will be include 292 pieces, and cost $29.99. Lego is still trying to keep The Lego Movie theme alive until the second movie is released. They aren’t doing too bad of a job either, I’m still interested. ūüôā

Lego Creator – Detective’s Office –

Lego Detective's Office

This will be the newest edition to the Modular Buildings collection. It has 2 building, the detectives office, and a barber shop, both are connected with a build that appears to include a couple of balconies and a walkway. The set will have a whopping 2262 pieces for a very reasonable cost of $159.99.

Lego City – Swamp Police and More –

Lego Swamp Police

Lego is moving on from the Forest Police sub-theme, and moving to the swamp. 6 Swamp Police sets are planned including the one pictures which is called Robber Swamp Hideout. 5¬†“Construction” themed sets, and another 7 sets are also planned for 2015. Note: 5 of these City sets were released on Lego.com, but are already back ordered.
