Jurassic World Videogame Pre-Order Items Revealed!

Looks like there will be 2 different items given away in the Jurassic World Videogame. The first will be available exclusively for those who pre-order the game at Gamestop. This version will include a free polybag that includes a Gallimimus dinosaur in it. The other will be available exclusively at Target. This version will have a free Dr. Wu minifigure in it. He is not an exclusive fig though, he will also be available in the Indominus Rex Breakout set. Here are images of the 2 items. Enjoy!

Final Jurassic World Set Revealed!

The final set based on the upcoming Jurassic World movie has been revealed. This set is 75920 Raptor Escape, and hasn’t had a retail price listed yet for it. But at 394 pieces, I would guess a price tag of $39.99. This set will likely be an exclusive set since its image was released separate from the other Jurassic World pics. “Exclusive” means that it will only be available from Lego and one other store. Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us have exclusive sets to them throughout various themes and years. One example is the Lego Star Wars 75058 MTT set, which is exclusive to Toys R Us. Here is the picture of the Raptor Escape set.

First Jurassic World Set Revealed!!

Well my day has officially been made. Lego revealed it’s first set image from the Jurassic World sets. This particular set is called 75917 Raptor Rampage. It will include 3 minifigures and 2 dinos. Here is the picture!

Lego Jurassic World Raptor Rampage

In my opinion, this set looks great. It looks like the main item in the set will be that “police” type vehicle. It appears to have a containment box on the back, but it doesn’t look like one of those raptors would fit in the box. Maybe they do though. The dark blue colored fig looks to be a “Jurassic officer” with his armor chest piece and dart gun. He will likely be the one driving the “police” vehicle. As for the dinos themselves, they are both raptors. Those muzzle pieces are very interesting. This means that there is a possibly that we will see “tamed” raptors in the Jurassic World film. If you remember in the trailer, there was a scene where Owen was riding in the jungle on his motorcycle through a stampede of raptors. That bike looks like it will make its appearance in this set. That brings us to the Owen (Chris Pratt) minifigure. He is rumored to be exclusive to this set even though he’s a main character in the movie. I guess we will find out soon enough if that is true. As for the final figure, that is Beth played by Bryce Dallas Howard. A little fun fact about her, she also played Gwen in Spider-man 3. Along with appearances in Terminator:Salvation and the Twilight series.

That’s about all I can pick out from the set image. It is a great start to the 6 sets we will be getting in May/June.

Jurassic World Updates!

New updates are slowly rolling in on the new Jurassic World sets that will be hitting later this year. Earlier this week, Lego confirmed that we will in fact be getting a Jurassic videogame. What’s exciting about this is that it will be based off of all 4 movies, not just the new Jurassic World film.  Lego Jurassic World Videogame

That’s not all though. We also get to see this silhouette type picture of all the sets that will be released. This confirms the release date in May which we already knew.

I’m thinking this looks very promising, even if it doesn’t show us anything but black and white shapes. 🙂 Finally, we have the first official minifigure image from the Jurassic World sets. This fig is of Owen (Chris Pratt) and will be included in the 75917 Raptor Rampage set.

First Look at Lego Jurassic World w/ Set List

Later this year, we can expect to see multiple sets based off of the new Jurassic World movie. The following picture is our first look at the Jurassic World sets.

This confirms 4 dinos and 4 figs that we will be seeing in Lego form. As most of us already assumed, Owen (Chris Pratt) will make his appearance in Jurassic World sets. This makes Pratt one of the select few who have appeared as 2 separate minifigures. Pratt played Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy and got his own minifigure from that, too. We also see Henry Wu, played by BD Wong. He is one of the only returning characters from the original Jurassic Park trilogy, and I am glad Lego decided to include him. The minifigure on the front left of the picture looks like some sort of security guard and probably isn’t a main character. Lastly, there is a man in the crane that is hard to get a good look at. I am not sure who he is, but we will know soon enough when the sets hit shelves later this year.

– New Update Below!

We now have a set list for the 6 Jurassic World sets. It is as follows.

Lego Jurassic World – The New Dinosaurs

In 2015 Lego will be releasing sets based on the new Jurassic Park movie entitled Jurassic World. Since Lego’s “Dino” theme in 2012, we haven’t seen any new dinos from Lego. But these images from TaoBao (basically the Chinese Ebay) may be a sneak peek look at the new dinosaurs. 6 images of the creatures have surfaced. First we see a T-Rex, which is the same mold we saw in 2012, but with some new printing. Next is the D-Rex, which we have never seen before, this one will be a cool addition to my collection if it is in fact released. Finally, there are 4 pictures of smaller dinosaurs, possibly  new versions of the velociraptor, but there are so many kinds of dinosaurs that its hard to identify one specific breed. We also don’t know what dinosaurs we will be seeing in the movie yet so I can’t speculate. See the pics below!
