Updated Version of the Star Wars Sith Infiltrator Coming Soon

Images of a brand new Star Wars sets have surfaced this week. We can be expecting an updated version of the Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator on the horizon. Seems to me that Lego is getting lazy and just throwing re-makes at us. A bit disappointing. I will say that this is the most detailed version of the Infiltrator we have gotten though.

Lego Sith Infiltrator

This is the 5th version of this set that Lego has released, and hopefully the last (at least in this decade). The first was released in 1999 when the Phantom Menace was coming out. The second was a mini version released in 2004, another came in 2007, and again we saw the set on shelves in 2011. I own the one from 2011 and am more than happy with it. I also think the design of the 2011 version is better looking than the design of this version. The minifigures are what will seal the deal for most people. The new Darth Maul looks absolutely amazing! Not to mention the popular Watto fig.

No word on the price or piece count. But for a fair price, I think Lego can pull off this re-make. Yes it’s getting highly repetitive and some people are annoyed, but this is a cool set overall. If we hadn’t gotten versions in the past, Star Wars fans would be going insane wanting this. 🙂 That’s all for now. Until the next Star Wars post, I bid you farewell. And remember, always “use the force, Luke”.

Lego Ideas Set Based on “The Big Bang Theory” Is Revealed

I don’t know about you, but my nerd meter is totally through the roof. Lego released set pictures of the upcoming Lego Big Bang Theory kit today on social media and the Lego Ideas website. Here is the imagevbefore we get into the nitty-gritty details.

A1

This set marks a milestone for the Lego Ideas line. This is the 10th set released through Lego Ideas! Overall this set looks amazing. The minifigures are nearly spot-on which I really appreciate. I do think the set lost some of the fun details that were in the original model that was uploaded to Lego Ideas for voting. The biggest disappointment for me is that there is no Rubix cube included. That was one of the coolest details of the original model in my opinion. One thing that is great about this set is that it gives us hope for other tv shows getting their own set. The Lego community is pretty lacking in sets based off of their favorite shows. I would personally love to see sets based off of the superhero shows. I’m sure they would sell like hotcakes just like the rest of the superhero sets.

As for the price, it looks like it will cost you $59.99. Not too bad for a set with 7 minfigures. It will include a total of 479 pieces and be available for purchase August 1st of this year.

What are your thoguhts on the set? Are you a fan of The Big Bang Theory show? Will you be picking up the set? Sound off in the comments, I love hearing your opinions!

Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens – Exciting Updates

Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens

We now have much more info regarding the upcoming Star Wars:The Force Awakens sets. I for one am super pumped about these sets. It’ll be nice to get some brand new stuff and less of the re-makes from the first 6 movies. I won’t make you wait any longer though. Here are the details!

  • 75099 Rey’s Speeder – 193 pieces – $19.99
  • 75100 First Order Snowspeeder – 444 pieces – $39.99
  • 75101 First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter – 517 pieces – $69.99
  • 75102 Poe’s X-wing Starfighter – 717 pieces – $79.99
  • 75103 First Order Transporter – 792 pieces – $89.99
  • 75104 Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle – 1004 pieces – $119.99
  • 75105 Millennium Falcon – 1332 pieces – $149.99

From the names, I looks like there is going to be a great variety in the sets. Speeders, Fighters, Shuttles, and more. Not to mention a brand new Millenium Falcon. I personally own the most recent version and I’m hoping this updated version will include new features that the older ones didn’t. Time will tell.

No official release date has been given yet, but we can assume it will be November. Usually the sets based on movies hit shelves around a month before the movie opens in theaters.

That raps up this post. I hope you enjoy this list as much as I do. And may the force be with you! 🙂

Upcoming Exclusive Superhero Figs

Lego will be releasing a couple of brand new exclusive minifigures later this year. The first is a new version of Iron Man. This MK33 (Silver Centurion) minifigure will be available when you pre-order the upcoming Lego Marvel Avengers videogame.

Lego Iron Man MK33

This looks like the most detailed version of Iron Man we have ever seen. With the arm printing and printing on the side of the legs. Not to mention the chest armor piece.

We will also be seeing the Trickster make his way into the Lego Superhero universe. Makes you wonder who he had to trick to get his own fig. 🙂 Anyways, he looks like a very detailed minifigure also. We will be getting him free in the upcoming Lego DC Movie entitled Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom.

Lego Doctor Who and Portal 2 Minifigures Have Surfaced!

Lego Dimensions is now known to include 2 more themes within the upcoming game. The upcoming game will now include packs based on the Doctor Who line and a new Portal 2 line. For those that don’t know, Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle-platform videogame released in 2011. The concept of Lego Portal was first brought to the attention of Lego in a previous Lego Ideas review.

The image isn’t high quality, but it gives us a decent look at more stuff that will be coming out of the Dimensions line, and our first good look at a Doctor Who fig.

Lego Winter Soldier Poly Finally Coming to the US

It has officially been announced that the highly suaght-after Winter Soldier polybag will finally be available to the general public. Previously, the only way to get the poly was to buy the Helicarrier set. With a $350 price tag many people weren’t able to buy the set and therefore couldn’t get the Winter Soldier poly. Personally, I am a huge Captain America fan so I am very excited to be able to get him free with a purchase. This promotion will go on from June 1st – 30th considering supplies last.

LEGO Winter Soldier Promotion

All that is required to get the free minfiigure is to spend $75 or more at a Lego Store or online at http://shop.lego.com/en-US/. As for the figure itself, he is highly detailed. He has a printed arm and a double sided face. Not to mention the awesome looking torso printing on the front and back. This promotion doesn’t require you to buy a Marvel superheroes set to get the fig. You can purchase any Lego items adding up to $75 or more to get the freebie.

That’s all for now. What do you think of this fig? Will you be purchasing $75 worth of stuff to get him free? Or do you already have him from ordering the Helicarrier? Sound off in the comments below!
